Product Description
Placed between the camera body and lens, a teleconverter contains a set of optics that will effectively increase the focal length of a lens by a factor of 1.4 times. Pro-optic converters are made with high quality multi coated optics and designed to electronically operate with the camera contacts.. Designed specifically to be used with prime or zoom lenses of 100mm or above. 1.4 will increase a 300mm into 420mm and will decrease the lens with 1 f/stop Focusing manually is recommended when using a lens with a f/stop of f4 or slower. Longer exposures will require a tripod for stabilization. Does not work with EFS lenses. http://en.wikipedia.org/ wiki/Canon_E F-S_lens_mou nt

Sent the wrong item, not as ordered
By L. Spaine
The item received was not the item ordered, it was an inferior lens that should have been much cheaper. The item was returned with no problem but there was not time to have them ship the correct lense before we left on vacation. Accident or on purpose? Don't know.

didn't work for me
By Kurt Fischer
I bought this tele-converter for use with my Canon T1I after reading generally positive reviews. A couple mentioned lens incompatability but not for standard lenses. The item shipped promptly but when I tried it, it fit fine to the camera body, but would not accept either of my Cannon standard lenses (the kit lens 18-55 nor the 55-250 tele zoom). I contacted Adorama after multiple attempts to get the lenses to engage, but they indicated there was no tech support to work with me (I wondered if I was missing something or the instructions needed clarification). Instead was directed to return the unit. I did so and they refunded the purchase price.
