not as good as I'd hoped for

I found this purchase sufficient for macro photography as long as I use a circular flash at the end of my lens or a hot shoe flash that rises higher then the built in flash on my Nikon. Otherwise it is difficult to get some shots without the shadow of the lens at the bottom of the shot on flat surfaces. The wide angle and telephoto adapters create a significant amount of distortion to the images and I was not thrilled with them, so I really don't use them. I think I'd have been better off using the money I spent on this towards other lenses. Tried to get away cheap on money and paid the real price in the end in my shots.
