This ultra-telephoto lens is incredibly compact and lightweight. Using an advanced reflex design, the Pro Optic mirror lens is ideally suited for wildlife and sports photography. It has a fixed aperture of f/6.3;that's faster than most 500mm mirror lenses. Simple T-mount adapters screw on the lens to fit almost any SLR camera. Works with auto focus cameras in manual focus mode only. Includes a soft carrying pouch.

Okay for the price

I bought this to experiment with a 500mm lens prior to buying something better. (I subsequently got the Sigma 120-400mm lens and really like it.)Mounted on a Canon 50D, I can push the ISO up to achieve decent shutter speed without creating too much graininess. Handheld and tripod mounted, focus is difficult. Even when focus is dead-on, don't expect to get a sharp image. I am giving the lens to one of my daughters to take pictures of her sons playing baseball. She is delighted because it may not take sharp pictures, but she will be able to get ones that bring the action much closer. The kids won't care about sharpness anymore than they will about composition. This is a fun lens for the price point, but let the low price control your expectations of what it will do.
