I bought this specifically for a Nikon D5200. The lens does come with the adaptor so it does fit on the camera. The problem is it will only function in the manual position. The camera will not focus at the 1300mm postion but will at 1250mm and lower. I can get pictures at a distance but they are not of high quality. But I wasn't after that and I got what I paid for. If you just need a picture of something at a distance it will work just remember the quality issue. Also I would recommend you practice with the lens and camera under similar conditions you will be using it in as you will have to tweak your settings to get it to take a useable picture. It does much better than using my spotting scope though.
