It is what it is

I purchased this for a Nikon D5100. It falls into the you get what you pay for catagorie. I do like it and use it. It is difficult to focus at long range and damn near imposable with the 2x teleconverter. but with a tripod and a remote I have managed to take some nice photos with just the 900mm lens. This pretty much what I expected. I can not afford a AF 500mm lens at this time so it serves this purpose for me just fine. My only complaint is that there isn't a cap for both ends of the teleconverter. So you have to store it connected to the lens or wrap it up to keep it dust free. Over all I am happy with my purchase and would recomend it. It is what it is a inexpensive high powered manual lens.
